PRESS RELEASE

The Olive 3 Launches Region’s First Floral and 3G Surprise Music Delivery Service

Innovative service introduces a whole new experience allowing customers to send flowers with music performance and view delivery ‘live’ via 3G mobile phone

Singapore, 5 February 2007 – The Olive 3 (S) Pte Ltd today launched the region’s first floral and 3G Surprise Music Delivery Service in conjunction with Valentine’s Day. The innovative service, the first of its kind in the region if not the world, lets customers send floral gifts and have them delivered by a musician, such as a violinist or guitarist-cum-singer, to surprise the recipient. In addition, the sender can witness the entire delivery experience ‘live’ on a 3G-enabled mobile phone through a video call.

By combining traditional floral delivery with ‘live’ music performance, and converging this innovative service with 3G mobile communications, The Olive 3 is setting a new standard and quality of service for floral gifts in Singapore. “We wanted to introduce something unique for Valentine’s Day. We had noticed that when customers ordered our popular Surprise Delivery service, they were often excited and anxious about the reaction of the recipient and their delivery experience. Similarly, we also observed that the recipient would very often call the sender during the surprise music dedication,” said Lily Chan, Direction of Operations. “By offering the option to view the experience through their 3G phone, we effectively enable the sender to remotely watch the experience “live” and be virtually present at the delivery scene, bringing with it a whole new experience for both the sender and recipient.”

The Surprise Music Delivery service is a popular offering of The Olive 3, and was introduced by the company when it was launched a year ago, the first of its kind in Singapore. While sending a music telegram is not new in Singapore, The Olive 3 has innovated around the delivery experience and provided a standard offering where the service may be added to any floral or gift purchased from the online store for an additional $100. Customers have a choice of guitarist-cum-singer, saxophonist, violinist, clarinetist or flutist to be sent to deliver the gift and perform two songs as a surprise dedication. The end-to-end service also includes planning and coordination, gift presentation, all to way to the ‘live’ musical performance and a photo-taking session of the recipient with the gift and musician.

The 3G option that The Olive 3 is introducing allows the sender (who must have a 3G-enabled mobile phone and a 3G SIM card) to participate in the delivery. He or she has the option to sing along or surprise the recipient by wishing him or her directly from the mobile phone when the delivery is complete.

“Since we introduced our Surprise Music Delivery Service, we have done more than 100 such deliveries through mainly word-of-mouth and minimal online advertising. We are excited about the potential that this new 3G video option brings especially for Valentine’s Day”, added Ms Chan.

The service will debut with The Olive 3’s Valentine’s Day Combo Packages which start from S$160 for a stalk of rose and surprise music delivery. The Surprise Delivery service will also be available as an add-on option for purchase of Lunar New Year hampers, where the musicians will perform Lunar New Year songs.
